Herobotics is a team of students at Patrick Henry High School (Minneapolis, MN), dedicated to the design and engineering of robotics. Our team began its roots back in 2004 as a Battle-Bots team which was a competition in which we constructed robots to fight other robots. In 2007 we made a transition to FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics. That year we competed at the Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional where we made it to the quarter finals and won the Chrysler Team Spirit Award.

Team members presented FIRST Robotics to a great number of experienced and skilled engineers and scientists from companies such as Ecolab, 3M, and The University of Minnesota’s IT department.

Herobotics is more than just building a robot. It is about communication, friendship, leadership, self-confidence, and teamwork. In Herobotics we believe it is important to spread the message of FIRST at a young age and to inspire young people to be more involved in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) . We also believe it is important to inspire young people to pursue careers in STEM and become innovators. Most importantly we inspire young people to be a heroic, so "Together we WILL build a new heroic future!”
